#NONUKES with Kyle Thiermann
A short documentary about the Nuclear Power Plant in Jeffrey’s Bay, South Africa | 2012
Documentary filmmaker and surf traveler Kyle Thiermann visited South Africa to understand why this country has decided to forge ahead with a centralised nuclear power plan in the wake of mass incidents such as at the Fukushima Nuclear Plant in Japan.
Kyle traveled to cities like Durban and Jeffrey’s Bay to get an on-the-ground view of how power is distributed to the poor communities in South Africa and whether or not nuclear power is the answer for South Africa’s growing energy needs.
